Sam PS- Well Done guys at Z88 for such a fantastic release, I can honestly say that you are one of the best companys I have ever delt with (mainly because you listen to what people whant and then you go away and do it! 10. To be fair I don't think getting a few T-shirts printed is going to drain resources too much!! Sam
  11. I really need some new blacks to wear all mine are so dirty and stained. REALLY REALLY Want one of those Frog Polo shirts with silver logo and Black Frog T-Shirsts with frog Logo on back. I would be prepared to pay a little bit less than what you are charging for the current Z88 Branded stuff! I think that is a little bit to expensive- Especially Flease (really want one but couldn't justify spending that much money on a almost plain black flease) How about some Frog Beeny hats and bags as well. Sam
  12. Baby/ Mini frog??? Or Frog Remote??? K-9 Do tell....
  13. Hi Guys, I have been asked to light a charity concert and Need Help. I don’t do Lighting a lot (as u can probably guess from my posts) and am stuck for Ideas. I will have quite a large Generic Rig, 4 Mac 500’s, possibly some more moving head/ mirror lanterns and a trusty Fat Frog So firstly: Can anyone think of good lighting styles/ effects to use for concerts (and how do you create them??). The band is quite a heavy rock band. Secondly: When plotting states for a concert should I plot exactly. What I mean by this is shall I coincide my state changes with Lyrics or music or should they just be random??? Lastly: Can anyone think of some good lanterns- moving and generic- that are reasonably cheap which would be good to hire in for this sort of project. I figured lots of Par Cans but couldn’t think what else. Cheers, Sam
  14. Linked with that. WHat happens exactly if you program in full mode??? How do you put desk into full mode??? Cheers Sam
  15. HI, This is another stupid Q From a beginner so I'm really sorry but please bear with me. WHAT ARE PALLETES CANT GET MY HEAD AROUND THEM AT ALL. PLEASE EXPLAIN IN REAL SIMPLE TERMS. Cheers Sam
  16. Guys, I am relatively new to the frog range (and LX Desks in general as I am a Stage Manager most of the time- I am learning as I am working on a major production and have to understand Lighting a bit more fluently) and I really dont get the tagging thing (programming in partial mode- I think)??? Despite reading the instruction manual over and over don't seem to get it. Any help would be much appreciated!! Ta, Sam
  17. Hi Guys. Hope You all had a great xmas and New-Year Period. Its A Bit Depressing now were all back @ work etc. Never Mind Though! Just Wondering as far as I can tell the Phantom Frog which I downloaded from the Zero 88 Website is running the original version software. If this is correct would it be possible to update it- preferably with the version software which is about to come out ('cause it sounds great!!). In addition any chance of zero 88 guys looking into maybe linking it with a WYSIWIG or Martin Show Designer/ Light Jockey. I Know this has been mentioned a few times but it would be great for all those who dont have access to their venue rig and board all the time but still need to program shows. Thanks a lot- Any Feedback would be great! Cheers Sam
  18. K-9 and NZ, If you could supply me with the operating manual in the form of a word document so it is easy to edit I could use my computers translation software to translate it into all the different languages. We could then supply to people who speak the concerned language fluently who could comprehensively check it for grammar mistakes. Then make a final version and load onto zero 88 website and make available for all. It could save a lot of time and I would be more than happy to give it a go and work hard on it if it is possible. PM/Email or reply back. Cheers Sam.
  19. I agree a mouse would be a nightmare but tracker ball would be great! Find the control wheels a bit of a pain. Happy Xmas
  20. Does anyone have a show on the fatfrog which they would be willing to send me for traning purpouses. I am giving someone a introduction to using the Fat Frog Board (using the phantom frog) and would be really good if I could use an e.g. show. Preferably one using Generic and Moving fixtures would be ideal. The show would be deleted as soon as the training was finished. Cheers Sam
  21. Ive got another question 4 all you guys. Might sound stupid but I am still new to the Fat Frog Board. I am trying to program a show on the offline editior of Fat Frog but how do I know when I am programming the moving lights (4 MAC 500's) A) What colour they are going to be Where they are going to be on Stage C) What the Gobos (Rotating and Still) are going to look like Don't misunderstand me I do know how to change colour etc. but how do you know what it is going to look like. Is there some sort of document for each fixture saying for example colour 156 is Frosty Blue or Rotating Gobo 12 is Rosco gobo ... etc. Or is there some sort of WYSIWYG Software (pref free and downloadable from internet) which can be linked with the frog offline editior. Final thing I have looked at other posts but still am to know real conclusion. I have read a bit about the Phantom Frog is this a WYSISYG Type program or just the proper name for the offline Editor??? Pleaze Help. Samm
  22. Most deffinetly in the eyes of a Stage Manager Producer: Leaps tall buildings in a single bound. Is more powerful than a locomotive. Is faster than a speeding bullet. Walks on water. Gives policy to God. Director: Leaps short buildings in a single bound. Is more powerful than a switch engine. Is just as fast as a speeding bullet. Walks on water if the sea is calm. Talks with God. Playwright: Leaps short buildings with a running start. Is almost as powerful as a switch engine. Is faster than a speeding BB. Swims well. Is occasionally addressed by God. Actor: Makes high marks on the wall when trying to leap buildings. Is run over by locomotives. Can sometimes handle a gun without inflicting self-injury. Dog paddles. Talks to animals. Chorus: Falls over doorsteps when trying to enter buildings. Says "Look at the choo-choo." Wets himself with a water pistol. Plays in mud puddles. Mumbles to himself. Stage Manager Lifts buildings and walks under them. Kicks locomotives off the track. Catches speeding bullets in his/her teeth and eats them. Freezes water with a single glance. IS GOD.
  23. Some Funny, Some not so funny?!? Q: How many actors does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Complain to the director at notes. Q: How many directors does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Give a note to the stage manager to fix it! Q: How many stage managers does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Pull the technical director off of a set installation to deal with it. Q: How many technical directors does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Call the master electrician at home to fix it. Q: How many master electricians does it take to change a light bulb? A: We don't change bulbs, only halogen lamps. It's a props problem. Q: How many props masters does it take to change a light bulb? A: Light bulb?! When did they even get a lamp? Q: How many theatre critics does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: All of them - 1 to be highly critical of the design elements, 1 to express contempt for the glow of the lamp, 1 to lambast the interpretation of wattage used, 1 to critique the performance of the bulb itself, 1 to recall superb lightbulbs of past seasons and lament how this one fails to measure up, and all to join in the refrain reflecting on how they could build a better light bulb in their sleep. Q: How many theatre students does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: Erm, what's the deadline, cos I may need an extension. Q: How many audience members does it take to change a light bulb? A: Three. One to do it, one child to cry and another to say, "ROSE, HE'S CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB." Q: How many interns does it take to change a lightbulb? A: It doesn't matter because you'll have to do it again anyway. Q: How many directors does it take to change a lightbulb? A: 3...no, make that 4...on second thought 3... well, better make it 5 just to be safe. Q: How many assistant directors does it take to change a lightbulb? A: One. But he/she has to check with the director first to make sure he wants the bulb there. Q: How many producers does it take to change a lightbulb? A: None. Why do we need another lightbulb? Q: How many stage managers does it take to change a lightbulb? A: I DON'T CARE!!! JUST DO IT!!! Q: How many stage managers does it take to change a lightbulb? A: None. Where's IATSE? Q: How many stage managers does it take to change a lightbulb? A: It's on my list...It's on my list... Q: How many IATSE guys does it take to change a lightbulb? A: One, once he puts down the donut and coffee. Q: How many IATSE guys does it take to change a lightbulb? A: Twenty-five and a minimum of four hours, you got a @!%#&@ problem with that? Q: How many electricians does it take to change a lightbulb? A: LAMP! It's called a LAMP you idiot! Q: How many lighting designers does it take to change a lightbulb? A: None. Where's my assistant? Q: How many technicians does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: Two, if they can find a lamp big enough and figure out how to get inside it. Q: How many actors does it take to change a lightbulb? A: None. Doesn't the stage manager do that? Q: How many actors does it take to change a lightbulb? A: None. They can never find their light.
  24. Thanx everyone. Really Appreciate the Help. Sam
  25. I've tested your theory but there's still a problem. To test I just went to a completely blank memory put channel 1 up to full and programmed. When I go into preview it reads the following; 1; FF 2-10; -- 11-20; FF It just so happens that on my Patch Plan channels 11-20 are my General Cover (FRESNELS) . The only thing I can think of that might be connected is that I have a Sub Master with all of my Fresnels on but when I programmed the memory all my Sub Masters were definitely at 0% Any Idea whats going on? Cheers Sam
