  1. Hi Roger, Please could you send us the latest copy of your show file, and detail which fixtures aren't working with which effects? Please send this to support@zero88.com. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  2. Hi Sven, After installing ZerOS 7.9.5, if you press "Automatically Create Effects palettes", how many are generated? 45 auto palettes should be generated. You can then select your fixtures, and ones available for those fixtures will be highlighted. If only one "No Effect" palette is created, you will need to reinstall ZerOS. This can be done following the instructions below... http://support.zero88.com/1518910761 Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  3. Hello, When RigSync is disabled under "Remote Device Management", it is disabled globally. However when this is set to enable, to RigSync options per Desk Output, allow you to configure whether the 3 pin or 5 pin XLR output has RDM enabled from the console. That's great, really glad to hear it. When pressing the middle button of a parameter's encoder, this opens the parameters details. An indication to whether a parameter has details, is if the parameter has a function name below the parameter name, rather than simply a DMX level value. As Kevin says, if you need a fixture file feel free to send us an email to FixtureSupport@zero88.com, and we'll be able to create this for you. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  4. Hi Roger, Of the 45 auto effects, effects 2 through to 10 are intensity effects. Do you find these are greyed out, and therefore cannot be applied? Auto Effects cannot be edited, as they are used to create custom effect palettes. To edit custom effect palettes, apply the effect to your fixtures, make changes using the encoder wheels, tap UPDATE, and then press the effect palette to store the edits. Hope this helps, Edward
  5. Hello, Firstly, welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Yes you can store colour presets, referred to by ZerOS as Colour Palettes. To do this, select either all fixtures of this type, or just one of them, and use the colour parameter encoder wheels to create the colour temperature you would like to store. Then tap RECORD, and in the Colour window tap an empty colour palette, marked with an asterisk. You will then be able to use this palette to quickly recall the colour temperature. Hold SETUP and tap the palette to give it a name. Could you elaborate a little? Are you referring to the number displayed above each encoder wheel? This is the raw DMX value the console is sending to that parameter. FLX S consoles are able to automatically discover and patch RDM enabled fixtures on the DMX line. This is due to a feature called RigSync. For more information, see the article below... http://support.zero88.com/995963301 If you don't want the console to discover and keep RDM enabled fixtures synchronised with the console, you can disable RigSync, by tapping SETUP -> Universes -> RDM -> RigSync -> Disabled. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  6. Hi Roger, Auto effects cannot be used across individual lamps of a single fixture, hence you need to build the effect using Waveforms. If the strip blinder was patched as 10 individual dimmers, you would be able to use auto effects. Yes, fixture Home values can be edited. For information on editing fixture Home values, take a look at the article below... http://support.zero88.com/1011411491 Hope this helps, Edward
  7. Hi Jake, Yes, you can downgrade software if you wish. Show files are not however guaranteed to be backwards compatible, only forwards compatible. Before you downgrade, if you haven't seen the video below, it might be worth watching, as it goes through the operation of the console running ZerOS 7.9.2 or later... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjnbGuTHbFA Installation instructions can be found here... http://support.zero88.com/1518909581 ZerOS 7.8.2.39 can be downloaded from the website here... https://zero88.com/forum/files/file/2-zeros-frog2/ Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  8. Hi Carsten, ZerOS 7.9.6 includes enhancements and bug fixes. You will notice there will be a firmware update as well as software update included in ZerOS 7.9.6, which improves performance. All the best, Edward
  9. Hi Steve, We recommend installing console software using the method below, if they are running ZerOS 7.9 or later... http://support.zero88.com/1518910761 You can still use the bootable drive method, however this is mainly aimed for updating consoles currently running ZerOS 7.8.3 or earlier. Edward
  10. Hi Steve, Great, glad to hear it. For reference, the reason the effects didn’t load, is due to installing the software via the old installation method. Loading the software into the console via SETUP -> Load, loads the new effects. All the best, Edward
  11. Hi Jarno, It might be worth trying out the show file and Capture file available here... http://support.zero88.com/1004254221 This will prove whether FLX S and the laptop are talking, and whether there is an issue with the Capture settings. Are you using the full Capture software, or a presentation file? Hope this helps, let me know how you get on. Edward
  12. Hi Jarno, If you had the FLX S and the PC connected directly with a single Ethernet cable, DHCP won’t work. This is because there has to be a DHCP server on the network, such as a router. You will therefore have needed to configure the console’s CITP IP address to be in the same range as your PC’s IP address. An example could be the PC set to 10.1.1.1, and the console set to 10.1.1.2, both with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. Once the IP addresses are in range, start Capture on the PC. On the FLX S tap Z/Shift -> System Information -> Network overview. You should see the console displays that it is connected to your PC, and Capture and your console are communicating. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  13. Hi Roger, Please send a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and one of the team will be able to take a look to see why the effects are not working for your strip blinders. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  14. Hi Roger, You will only be given the option to automatically create macros, if you have fixtures patched with macros included in the personality. Examples of fixture macros could be Lamp On, Lamp Off or reset commands. An example of a fixture that does have fixture macros is a Martin MAC250 Entour. If you were to patch this fixture, you would see you are given the option to automatically create macros. If you would like fixture macros adding for your fixtures, please send us an email to FixtureSupport@zero88.com, and one of the team will be able to add these macros in for you. Hope this helps, Edward
  15. Hi Roger, Please could you elaborate? Do you find you're having difficulty recording macros? Are your fixture macros not working? Edward
  16. Hi Serge, There's currently no public list of known bugs. Internally we have any known issues tracked, and assigned to future versions for fixing. If you have any questions just let us know. Edward
  17. Hi Carpo, As Eric says, ZerOS consoles can only store the current show file on board. Other show files can be saved to external storage. There’s no issue leaving USB sticks plugged in all the time on FLX series consoles. Many people use the nano USB sticks and leave them in, to ensure they don’t get snapped off. On Solution series and legacy ZerOS consoles, leaving USB sticks in on start up will cause a boot error. Hope this helps, Edward
  18. Hello, If you have tried these fixture files in the library, and can confirm the address and mode on the star cloth matched those on the console, it sounds like your star cloth is slightly different to the one in the library. Do you have a manual that came with this Star Cloth, or are you able to find one online? If so please send this to FixtureSupport@zero88.com, and one of the team will be able to make you a fixture file. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  19. Hi Olly, Really glad to hear you have the console back and the issue has been resolved. They're very solid PSUs, so as you say, that is very unusual. If you have any questions as always feel free to get in touch. Edward
  20. Great! Glad to hear it. If you have any questions just let us know. Edward
  21. Hi Louks, It sounds like you are trying to install the console software using the old installation method. For instructions on installing ZerOS 7.9.5 from 7.9.4, see the article below... http://support.zero88.com/1518910761 Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  22. Hi Eric, No problem, let us know if you have any questions. Added to the knowledge base article... http://support.zero88.com/1011707631 Cheers, Edward
  23. Hello, That's correct - Fader Controls, can be enabled per attribute of a playback. In channels function, the faders will only ever control a channel's intensity. All the best, Edward
  24. Hi Eric, If you hold SHIFT and press RECORD, this will give you a snapshot - "Record All" is written in the command line to show you this. This will therefore turn SmartTag off, but it will record every fixture, and every parameter, irrespective of whether they're tagged or not. Therefore doing this you would need to be careful to ensure all other fixtures are at the values you would like them to be in for their defaults. Whereas if you simply manually turn SmartTag off at the point of recording, only tagged information would be stored. Hope this helps, Edward
